Beer Fête No 2 - September 7th 2007

As a one-off, Dead Good Beer Events invited all Nelson local body election candidates to 'meet the voters' in an informal pub atmosphere at the 2nd beer fete. The politicians did turn up and some healthy debate took place - but mostly about the merits of all the different beers on offer! Over 550 punters and many kegs and firkins of great beer and cider were consumed. And the crush at the bar forced us to reveal the grogerator a bit sooner than planned. Huge thanks to Neville Gee for building the structure and Chris Stathers for the innards. Oh and designed by Eelco (mainly) and Mic (a bit). You can see the Nelson Mail's review here.

Grogerator Mark 1 is launched! The grogerator in action for the first time, serving Emerson's 1812 and Mussel Inn Captain Cooker.

Brews available on the night: Twisted Hop Challenger & Twisted Ankle (Christchurch), Hallertau Copper Tart (Auckland), Founders Fair Maiden (Nelson), Emersons 1812 (Dunedin), Mussel Inn Cpt. Cooker (Onekaka), 3 Boys Pilsner (Christchurch), Invercargill Stanley Green & Alpine, Townshend’s (Upper Moutere) and as well as their cider we've managed to grab the last keg of 'mmm', Tasman Brewery's new winter ale.
